    If you're using the OW2 mod you'll need to ask them how to do it in their mod.

    TL;DR simplified for your translation
    Our old X4 mod will already do that, the server.cfg is required to make it run but if people find the mod themselves they could swap in their own cfgs from the download. If you want something more secure you'll need modding help from someone capable.

    Ahhh right, if youre using our old version then its actually already in place, that mod wont run unless the server has executed the server.cfg and the players cant obtain the config directly from the server. People might figure out what mod it is though and use the same download link you did.

    The alternative if you or any of your friends are capable of modding is to modify one of the .gsc files in the server's IWD (zz_svr_x4.iwd in our old mod's case i believe) and create a value and make it so that if the value is incorrect the map automatically rotates. Make the value something random so that its hard to guess as that IWD wont be sent to the players either.

    If you're trying to have the server only available to your friends, easiest way is to simply set a password for the server, you should be able to do that in the server.cfg or either mod. Just type "/exec server.cfg" once you've set the password in it and it will work, or add it to the server's command line if you have experience hosting cod4.

    The older version of our mod also wont run unless you do "/exec server.cfg", it will simply return a file/sum mismatch error if you forget to do this.

    If you're using the newer OW2 mod, we may be able to help a bit but since its their mod they are more likely to be able to help more.

    @En1gmas Oh my ping is fine, the trouble is that the line itself drops out meaning I completely lose connection to the internet temporarily, its incredibly annoying. It will either spike my ping massively (its actually a temporary disconecct/desync) for a few seconds or just flat out disconnect entirely for a minute or so.

    Worst part is its so unpredictable, can be fine for hours or it will repeatedly drop out frequently, longest run I've had so far is 3 hours of just no connectivity. ISPs are the worst.
