    Very odd indeed. Does Brodie's server run PB? Corrupted PB files perhaps or punkbuster not running correctly on system startup? Might be worth a reinstall of the actual punkbuster client and then reapply the cod4 files.

    I removed ALL previous bans when I set up the server on its new ip, and so far no new bans have been issued willy_nilly

    Any possibility its an IP ban? Could be that he has VPN software or something and the particular IP has been banned previously.

    He told Brodie he was banned on our server, but I see no record of it at all, and I found his guid and its clean , so I have no idea whats going on tbh lol

    Batman , get the punkbuster files from the links on the above menu. delete your cod4/ pb folder and replace with new one :)

    Though to be fair the Skirmish gamemode is wave based respawns every 30 seconds or so as long as the team doesn't run out of respawn tokens so it's not so bad. It might be a little more than people are used to though.

    Ye, the lack of respawn is the main thing that might be offputting compared to our server I think, even just against the bots you tend to sit out for a while, on online matches again actual players it seems like you could end up spectating more than you are playing.

    There might be a way to disable the whole wave respawn thing with a console command somewhere. Ofcourse that kind of thing is just personal preference anyway, but for transitioning it might be nice to turn it off.

    I have it Jag, bought it a few months ago, didn't have time to try it for ages, but once you get into it, it's really quite good. You don't tend the get the gung ho fast action of Cod4 as you sit out when killed until a respawn is triggered. I like it...

    Anyone tried "Insurgency"? Picked it up on steam sale yesterday for £5.50 and so far it seems quite fun. Plays like counter strike but has weapon modifications and full ADS support. It is also hardcore mode though, with red orchestra style realism, but it might be something to look into trying as a group as the servers on the game still seem quite active.

    all you need to stop people stealing the mod you just need to put the scripts on teh server in an iwd with "z_svr_" in the name that is all hey presto they cant use the custom mod
