    Shortening Cereal ruins the joke in the name i think, better to leave it as Cerealklr imo but its a shame the entire thing doesnt fit.

    Box seems like a good idea to me if it will solve the issues, a brief change in IP wont matter. While the clan may be fairly small now we also have a bunch of unregistered regulars so the server would still see some use certainly, and those regulars will likely realise the ip has changed after the ip has been down for a few days or we just run an rcon message for a few days before switch. As for newer players it shouldnt really matter, they'll find us by name not ip so should be fine and hopefully with the inevitable death of ghosts a few people may pick up cod4 again.

    As long as the costs are worthwhile i dont see much of a problem running a box if it helps with the lag issues recently.

    seems were sharing our dedi box with 22 other "servers" maybe its the box overloading and not us pff. I know our clan is small and there is not a lot of us, what about we rented a box and hosted the servers ourselves? that way we know its never going to be over loaded.. ?

    ye looks like a data centre issue, gtx are saying they would rather drop that DC, but that clans like ours have ip's there for a long time. hmmmmm but its weird that these crashes have just started happening.. my "spider sense" is telling me somethings afoot!! lol or is that my "Sherlock" sense. xd.. any how please keep tracking and registering any further crashes on server. here or in forums.

    Ye from what ive seen so far the server simply restarts, everytime its happened while ive been on it the game has lagged up, given a server disconnected message and then the ip is not found for a min or 2 and then the server is listed again back on subbase with 0 players. No form of error thrown at clients from what ive seen unless something is happening on the server but it seems alot more like pure disconnects or random restarts to me. Theres certainly aspects of the mod which we know can cause a little lag but juggernaught fights have never dced the server (that ive seen) for example.

    mmm that last part reminds me of a time we had a very crowded newbees server, that we had to give up for that reason … hope this will not happen with our mod server ….

    that and is the server really "crashing" from looks of it its restarting which screams either DDOS or "GTX HAVE GIVEN ME A SHITTY SERVER!" xD the lack of error message implies its not an overload since there is usually a very nice error that says exactly what the issue is

    max get rid of half the maps. maybe all the original maps, just keep the mod maps.

    I think our mod has been pushed to its breaking point, we seem to be getting regular crashes, even tho ive tested and removed all the maps that didn't work, I suspect when more that 8 are online that ,that's when the problems come, or someone is watching our server and ddos ing it when it looks like getting busy? gtx cant confirm this tho at first they did suspect a ddos. So hacker, I think we need to lighten the mod a wee bit. tho tbh , I love everything that's been added lately.
