    It was somewhat laggy on the aiw server when i was on,there was 4 ppl on all roughly the same ping between 50 & 60 but it was very laggy for me @ times.

    Dont have WAW installed atm but my COD4 seems fine Max, generally 53 ping though it is jumping to around 90 on some refreshes.

    And @Alpha ye its possible, thing is everyone else in the house is fine so presumably its something on my system, or just an extension of the problem we only recently fixed in that having 4 users online at once mean that the sharing speed caused the entire dsl connection to drop out, the dsl drops outs seem to have been fixed now, happening only briefly every so often, most recently 15 days ago while the internet connection itself has been up for 45 days according to the router ACP. Its possible it is my internet connection though, though if it is its more likely to be an extension of the previous issue watered down rather than an entire drop out as it only seems to affect me.

    is anyone else finding cod4 to be laggy, all servers in server search seem to be over 120 ping? yet waw is normal?

    Yeah, i play the older cod games in windowed because they crash if i Alt-Tab, It may be your internet its self, loosing connection for a second or two

    Ye ive already checked resource monitor, one of the first things i checked, also i play all games in windowed mode anyway so thats not an issue.

    I'm having ping issues but for a different reason jag, mine's simple because I'm by the west cost US, so it's kinda expected, not sure what could be the cause of yours, have you tried going into the resource monitor while your in game and seeing what's using the internet?

    You may need to switch to windowed mode for this but just a suggestion.

    @jag, ive been getting the dang mouse stutter again, after fixing it on my old pc lol, ive disabled windows from closing down any usb's (to save power), but still getting the odd stutter on cod4.

    Well i appear to have fixed my ping issue, atleast for now. Deleted services.msc configuration and everything is running fine again so no idea what happened. Will see if the ping stays low but so far it looks like its fixed, will sit on the server and try to get a few games going.

    No idea how my connection can vary so much in only 10 minutes... And this is light compared to the 5000 ping spikes because this just counts averages -.-

    Well ping normalised on its own, still no idea what happened but whatever. Gonna keep an eye on it and see if i can track down the source i guess.

    Having some really weird issues suddenly it seems, connection keeps spiking like crazy, it hit 3.8k ping while refreshing the cod4 browser -.- only spikes for like 2 secs as well but does it frequently enough to make the game unplayable. Not even sure what set it off but guess i'll figure out soon enough

    Rekoil is out, ive pre ordered from steam, but cant install till Friday , when my new Alienware pc comes, then i'll get on it.. also plan to run a server from our box, once I source server files.. gun_bandana
